Insurance

Insurance provides protection for your personal and business assets. Depending on your business, insurance may be required.

There are two main types of insurance for business.

  • Property Insurance - covers physical property, such as office equipment in the event of disaster or theft.
  • Liability Insurance - covers you and your business should you cause harm to another or their property as a result of your business.

Property and Liability Insurance are often packaged together and are known as “business owners policy,” or BOP for short.

Many business owners think their homeowners insurance will cover their home-based business; often this is not the case.  Many policies will not cover damages which occur as a result of your business. For more information check out the following resource pages.
